The issue of sustainability has attracted global attention, said President Chao Han-Chieh of National Dong Hwa University (NDHU). He noted,“The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the United Nations contain 17 core goals that schools around the world need to pursue.” NDHU began promoting the SDGs in 2019 and implementing these goals. In 2020, on the 26th anniversary of the university’s founding, it signed the “Declaration of Sustainable Development Goals in Higher Education,” becoming the first university in Taiwan to sign the declaration of sustainable development. 72 Hualien Issue
