The brand name“Manna”is used to express how they believe the nourishing rice is a gift from the heavens. Small farmers are brought together to grow organic crops in their effort to protect the vitality of the earth. The production and marketing course at Manna was established in 2011, and currently 40 farmers have joined the course, cultivating nearly 72 hectares of organic rice, which is increasing year by year. Chung Yu-En said, “We always hope to build a more trusting relationship with consumers, so that when they buy this agricultural product, they are not just buying a food or a story, but also trust.”Therefore, through“food and farming courses”and“DIY activities”, they help consumers understand the value of farmers’ hard work.“We turn the content of food and farming education into logical lesson plans and promote it to different communities. In addition to rice dishes, we also share how to transform a rice seedling into a bowl of cooked rice, thus promoting organic farming and the native environment.”Students who participate in the production site field trip will be able to experience rice milling and take home their own hand-milled rice. 61
