Hualien Issue In the process of searching for land, they studied and analyzed the objective environmental conditions such as typhoons, earthquake zones, and windward sides, as well as the soil, water, and rainfall. In the end, they felt an affinity with Luoshan and decided to settle here.“We had the help of many local people, and we discovered that this would be the first organic village in Taiwan. Many people in this area practice organic farming, so it was an ideal environment for us.”By implementing natural farming methods, they were able to create a variety of habitats suitable for drawing in more insects and wildlife. They explored the workings of food energy as an important element of food therapy; by examining how food is processed, they came up with more diverse options for food preservation and use; and they developed gluten-free foods so that more people can enjoy healthy food, thereby building a virtuous cycle for the goodness from the land. 50
