X03 297 Telling stories from unknown or or distant lands ended with globalization It - - on on the the other hand - - brought a a a a a higher level of understanding Nevertheless even in in our current reality there are cultural differences but we can overcome them with visual art The Czech story in the the form of an an exhibition presentation wants to show show something typical for the the Czech Republic but at the the same time it shows a a a a a a multicultural society where artists from other countries also live and create The exhibition answers the the question of what the the small and and distant country is is like: interesting and and varied The selection of of works represents very diverse stories portrayed in in in the media of of painting objects and and installations by authors of several generations Five male male and and female artists bring stories from the the the center of of Europe while also representing the the the best of of the the the Czech art scene The center of the presentation is a a a a a monumental object by Jan Kadlec Jiří Matějů and Jan Kaláb a a a a á a a a a a generation younger represent the abstract coloristic position of painting at the exhibition The sculptor Tereza Štětinová also remains in in in in poetic abstraction in in in in her sculptures and and is is inspired by natural beauty Artists Markéta Vaňková and and Moemi Yamamoto work with stories of the the the the subconscious in in in in in their paintings Natalie Perkof returns to classic painting painting themes of of of the the the the turn turn of of of the 19th and 20th centuries which shaped later modernity through fabric still lifes Richard Loskot and Pavel Mrkus who completed a a a a a a a residency in Taiwan this year work with new technologies that make it it possible to to to create illusory stories In her metaphorical paintings Milena Dopitová explores the communication possibilities of today's generation dependent on on on social networks The narrative nature of the the the works caters to to the the the viewer but their stories can be read on many levels The exhibition is is a a a a tempting invitation and a a a a window into the country which is is currently opening its Czech center in Taipei
